Joint Base Andrews, which is located just outside Washington D.C. in the Maryland suburbs, was placed on lockdown just after 9am Thursday morning due to reports of an active shooter.

The Hill reported that the base tweeted that all personnel should shelter in place as authorities investigate the report. They then added that the shooter was reported at the medical facility and that first responders were already on the scene.

Andrews is the home of Air Force One, the aircraft Obama uses to fly in and out of Washington D.C. The president was at Andrews just 12 hours before reports of the shooter came in when he returned to the nation’s capital from a trip to Canada.

Please pray for everyone at Andrews right now. We will update you further as this story develops.
