Trey Gowdy Reveals New Plan To JAIL Hillary Clinton – She Is DONE
Hillary Clinton may have lost the presidential election, but that doesn’t mean that South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy will be ending his quest to hold her accountable for the many crimes she has committed.
Conservative 101 reported that Gowdy has just opened up about his new plan to have Clinton imprisoned after her election loss.
“There is sufficient evidence, both direct and circumstantial, upon which a jury could conclude an intent to violate the law,” Gowdy said. “This evidence includes concealment of evidence, destruction of evidence and false exculpatory statements – all of which fall under the general heading of consciousness of guilt.”
“It would appear the investigation is back to the status quo ante, which means Director Comey believes Secretary Clinton was indeed extremely careless in her handling of classified material,” he continued. “Yet there is insufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt to prove Secretary Clinton had specific intent to violate a statute which specifically provides for the lower statute which specifically provides for the lower scienter standard of gross negligence.”
Just before the election, Trey Gowdy went on live television to tell Fox News host Megyn Kelly that the FBI’s investigation into the Democratic presidential nominee is not over.
“Clearly this closes the book on the question of criminality in so far as the feds are concerned and her email, does it not?” Kelly asked him Sunday.
“I don’t think so, Megyn,” Gowdy responded, according to Western Journalism. “I think it closes the book based on what they know now. But 10 days ago we didn’t know that Huma Abedin had failed to turn over all her devices.”
“Investigations are never over, unless a statute of limitations has expired, or unless jeopardy is attached,” Gowdy continued. “So this investigation is over based on what they know, but they don’t know what they don’t know.”
In his letter to congress on Sunday, Comey said he will not be recommending criminal prosecution for Clinton, confirming that the FBI’s decision remained unchanged after it had examined the new emails.
“Based on our review, we have not changed our conclusions that we expressed in July,” Comey wrote in the letter.
Gowdy, however, said that even the letter made it clear that Clinton still had a cloud hanging over her.
“Can you imagine a closing argument of having to spend the day before a general election saying the FBI was not able to prove beyond a reasonable doubt every element of a criminal offense?” he said. “If that is their closing argument for a presidential candidate, they have other problems.”
Kelly then asked Gowdy if he thinks Comey’s letter had hurt Clinton’s campaign in the polls and among independents and Republican women.
“No, ma’am, I think her decisions have impacted female voters and independent voters. I think it’s just a reminder that most of what she has said on the email issue has been demonstrably false,” Gowdy replied.
“That is not Jim Comey’s fault,” he continued. “I’m not upset with Jim Comey for sending the letter today. I thought he had to, just like he had to eight or nine days ago.”
“She is the reason that we are discussing this hours before a general election, not Jim Comey,” he concluded.
