Trump Breaks Major GOP Record

With his historic win in Oregon on Tuesday, presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump shattered a record that nobody in his party was expecting to ever be broken.

According to Conservative Tribune, Trump’s win in Oregon made it official that he has surpassed George W. Bush’s record for the most votes won by any Republican primary candidate in the party’s history.

In the primary back in 2000, George W. Bush set a new record with a final count of 10.8 million votes. Trump has already beaten that record by over 10%, with 11.1 million votes so far this year, and many more votes are set to come his way.

Trump now needs less than 90 delegates to officially secure the Republican presidential nomination.
