Country music fans are in mourning this week after it was revealed that legendary singer Sonny James had passed away. He was 87 years-old.
Born in Hackleburg, Alabama, James was nicknamed the “Southern Gentleman” and was known for his romantic type ballads like “Young Love.” According to Conservative Brief, other hits of his included “Take Good Care of Her” “I’ll Never Find Another You” and “Here Comes Honey Again.”
James retired in the 1980s and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in the year 2006. He died in Nashville Hospice, and he is survived by his wife.
