Two people were shot dead on the campus of UCLA on Wednesday.
According to CBS Local, an alert went out to students just after 10am notifying them of a possible “active shooter” in Boelter Hall located near the School of Engineering building. Police are still investigating at this time, and the identities of the victims have not yet been revealed.
The gunman, who is still at large, has been described as a Caucasian man who stands around 6-feet tall. He was last seen dressed in a black jacket and black pants.
The nearby Fairburn Elementary School, Warner Elementary School and Emerson Community Charter Middle School have been placed on lockdown, as well as UCLA. The FBI, SWAT and ATF agencies are on campus helping with the investigation.
