Police were forced to shoot a man last Friday outside Dallas Love Field Airport after he refused to comply with their instructions.
CNN reported that the shooting occurred outside the terminal building near the baggage claim area. It was caused by a domestic disturbance between a woman and the man, who is allegedly the father of her children. Fox News said that the incident occurred around noon, when the man began using rocks to attack the woman. According to Western Journalism, the officer who tried to intervene was rushed at by the man with a rock, so he fired his weapon to protect himself.
The man was conscious as he was taken to the hospital and arrested en route.
Witness Bryan Armstrong told reporters that the officer told the man to “drop the rock and stop walking.” The man ignored this and instead moved towards the officer.
Disturbing video footage shows nine shots being fired as a woman screams “Get down!”
“Stay down, stay down!” a male voice can be heard yelling.
“I just got off the plane at Dallas Lovefield airport and this what I come out to,” Armstrong posted on Instagram under the username flashyfilms.
