Around 50 people were killed and over 239 were wounded on Tuesday in a devastating terrorist attack at Turkey’s main airport in Istanbul. Now, investigators think they have figured out who was behind this attack.
Yahoo News reported that a senior Turkish government official told reporters that all initial indications suggest that ISIS is behind the attack at Istanbul’s Ataturk airport. The official added that there may have been as many as four terrorists involved in the three bombings that occurred at the airport.

A senior US counterterrorism official said that the attack “fits the ISIS profile, not PKK.”
“There are only two groups capable of carrying out such a large-scale attack. This does not fit the PKK profile, they go after Turkish targets, not international targets,” the official said, according to CNN.
