Over the weekend, we reported that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick turned on America on Friday when he refused to stand as the national anthem played before a game. Within 24 hours, fans were burning his jersey to let him know that what he did was wrong.
Kaepernick tried to defend his shameful show of disrespect by race-baiting.
“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” he said of his protest. “To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”
On Tuesday, Jerry Rice, the greatest wide receiver the NFL has ever seen, weighed in on the scandal on Twitter to give Kaepernick a piece of his mind.
All lives matter. So much going on in this world today.Can we all just get along! Colin,I respect your stance but don’t disrespect the Flag.

According to Young Conservatives, liberals immediately pounced on Rice and slammed him for daring to criticize Kaepernick.
@JerryRice 🙄🙄🙄 give me a break! A flag isn’t more important than the citizens he’s speaking out for. A song doesn’t define patriotism.

.@JerryRice “can we all just get along?” How much respect did the officers have beating Rodney King’s ass while they wore the flag?

@JerryRice If you respect his stance why are you speaking against it. Oh that’s right, you’re a COON!

@JerryRice the cooning never ends
