The Five is one of the most popular shows on Fox News right now, and host Dana Perino has become a beloved personality on the network. That’s why it should come as no surprise a press release from Fox News announced that Perino will helm a spinoff of the popular chat show on Fox News Sundays.
Conservative Tribune reported that Perino’s show will be called, “I’ll Tell You What,” and it is set to debut Sunday in the 5pm time slot. Executives say the show is temporary and will only run through the election cycle, but if it takes off, they’re sure to keep it on the air.
Perino, who once served as George W. Bush’s press secretary, will be joined on her show by Fox News’ digital politics editor, Chris Stirewalt, a former reporter with the Washington Examiner.
“The unscripted conversation will be complemented by live reports and touch on the latest from the candidates on the campaign trail,” Fox News’ release read. “The co-hosts will also be joined by a rotating panel who will offer additional perspective and insight on the historic 2016 race.”
Perino and Stirewalt have already been working together on a podcast of the same name, which is already available to download.
With female anchors like Greta Van Susteren and Andrea Tantaros leaving Fox in droves, Perino could be tapped to take a more prominent position at the network. What do you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
