A federal lawsuit was filed as filed against the Black Lives Matter group by a Dallas Police Sergeant. The law enforcement officer is alleging the leaders of Black Lives Matter have incited anti-police violence in the wake of the shootings of African American men by police.
The cop is Sgt. Demetrick Pennie who is President of the Dallas Fallen Officer Foundation with seventeen years of experience. In his lawsuit he said he was filing it not just for himself by on behalf of,
“police officers and other law enforcement persons of all races and ethnicities including but not limited to Jews, Christians and Caucasians.”
The people being sued aren’t just members of engroup but also well known race baiters such as Al Sharpton, Louis Farrahkan, George Soros, The New Black Panthers Party, President Obama, and Hillary Clinton.
He cites them as having,
“repeatedly incited their supporters and others to engage in threats of and attacks to cause serious bodily injury or death upon police officers and other law enforcement persons of all races and ethnicities.”
Pennie’s lawyer is Larry Klayman of FreedomWatch, a well known conservative group. The complaint spans 66 pages and asks for $500 million in compensatory damages. Klayman commented,
“Sergeant Pennie and I feel duty-bound to put ourselves forward to seek an end to the incitement of violence against law enforcement which has already resulted in the death of five police officers in Dallas and the wounding of seven more, just in Texas alone.”
Sergeant Pennie explained why he is bringing about this lawsuit,
“This action was brought to stop the violence and killings of law enforcement officers in Dallas and throughout the nation.”
While it is highly unkplikely they will win $500 million even if they do win, after everything these officers have been through over the past few years they will justifiably win something, however big or small.
