Last month, we reported that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick turned on America when he refused to stand as the national anthem played before a game.
Kaepernick tried to defend his shameful show of disrespect by race-baiting.
“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” he said of his protest. “To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”
Now, these race-baiting protests have come back to bite Kaepernick in a big way.
NFL Hall of Famer Mike Ditka spoke out on Friday to slam Kaepernick for disrespecting the national anthem.
“I think it’s a problem…anybody who disrespects this country and the flag. If they don’t like the country they don’t like our flag…get the hell out,” Ditka said of Kaepernick’s actions, according to Bleacher Report.
“I have no respect for Colin Kaepernick — he probably has no respect for me, that’s his choice,” he added. “My choice is, I like this country, I respect our flag, and I don’t see all the atrocities going on in this country that people say are going on.”
Ditka went on to talk about what he loves about the United States.
“I see opportunities if people want to look for opportunity,” the NFL legend said. “Now if they don’t want to look for them, then you can find problems with anything, but this is the land of opportunity because you can be anything you want to be if you work. If you don’t work…that’s a different problem.”
Liberals are furious at Ditka for daring to criticize Kaepernick, but we LOVE what he had to say! What do you think about this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
