Hillary Clinton thought she had this election in the bag after the damning piece of audio leaked last Friday in which Donald Trump made lewd comments about women eleven years ago. However, Trump gave Clinton the shock of her life on Sunday night when he beat her handily in the second presidential debate.
Now, the first post-debate polls have come in, and they’ve come as a devastating shock to the Clinton camp.
The latest Rasmussen poll released on Thursday has just revealed that Trump is currently in the lead over Clinton, with 43% support compared to her 41%. Conservative Tribune reported that this is a four point swing from Wednesday’s results (43-39 in favor of Clinton), as well as a decided shift from Clinton’s 5-point lead Tuesday and 7-point lead on Monday.
Rasmussen polls 1,500 likely voters uses a three-day voting average, meaning this is the first poll to fully gauge the reaction of voters following the debate Sunday night.
Clinton holds a major lead among women and young voters while Trump has a large lead among men and older voters as well as a lead among Independent voters. Perhaps most surprising of all is the fact that Trump has made major gains among minority voters, particularly in the black community. Though Clinton still holds the lead in this group, Trump is gaining on her quickly.
This shows that despite what the mainstream media is telling you, Trump is NOT out of this race yet. SHARE this story if you’re voting for TRUMP!
