Donald Trump announced his White House communications team on Thursday, naming Republican National Committee Chief Strategist Sean Spicer as press secretary.
Trump also named prominent advisers and surrogates, including Hope Hicks, Jason Miller and Dan Scavino to senior White House roles. Hicks will be director of strategic communications; Miller will serve as director of communications; and Scavino will be director of social media. All four individuals played key roles in Trump’s campaign and transition team.
It was believed that Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle was a leading contender, but Trump values loyalty, and Spicer has been loyal.
