You would think that the second time around Hillary Clinton would finally realize that Americans do not want her as President. But clearly not. Yet reports indicate she’s looking to keep her campaign team together for four more years so she can run in the 2020 election. There is a source close to Clinton and her campaign who told Ed Klein Confidential,
“She’s convinced that, sooner than later, the voters will come to their senses and realize they made a horrible mistake by putting [Donald] Trump in the White House. She’s sure the voters will beg her to get in the race and she says, ‘I’m going to run again in 2020.’”
However, many of her advisors disagree. Allegedly her inner circle believes she is in a really bad place. Doing things like being depressed, heavily drinking, and overall being delusional aboutbher chances of running in four years.
By then she will be seventy three and her health will be even more shaky than it already is. But advisors do not want to dash her hopes in case it sends her depresssion into a tail spin by taking all her hopes away. Sources say,
“Hillary is in a state of denial and accepts zero responsibility for her loss to Trump. She’s convinced that [FBI Director James] Comey’s last-minute announcement that he was reopening his investigation of Hillary’s emails was planned in advance by her Republican enemies. She’s also convinced that [Russian president Vladimir] Putin was working with Trump and that the two were in direct contact.
She further believes that a groundswell of anger is going to make it impossible for Trump to govern effectively. In her view, Trump is a rank amateur in the art of politics, and he’s going to screw up badly and find himself in deep trouble.
She told me—and I’m paraphrasing: ‘Trump has no idea what it’s like to run the biggest corporation in the world, the United States government. He has no f—–g idea how complicated it is, how many cogs are spinning at the same time, how many people are fighting at cross purposes, how much disinformation you get.’”
But sources close to her husband, the former President Bill Clinton, insist he does not want her running either. Four years from now President Bill Clinton will be in worse health shape as well and is unable to say whether he would be physically prepared to deal with the arduous campaign trail.
“Bill hopes Hillary will see the light and change her mind. He’s sure the party will want a fresh new face come 2020.”
Once Americans are used to Donald Trump, a political outsider who gets things done, they will not want to let him go. He will ultimately prove himself to be a good leader and by that time even if Clinton had a small chance of pulling off a third run she would have no chance anymore.
