President-Elect Trump has been constantly criticized by the media for increasingly trivial reasons. Whenever Trump does something reasonable it is painted as somehow deranged. The most recent instance of this is security advisors who openly put their names on “Never Trump” lists. They were not only opposing Trump but promoting defeating him in the Presidential election. They are now aggrieved for being passed over for jobs in the Trump White House.
This shouldn’t be surprising to normal people. Typically, if you openly hate someone they won’t want to do you any favors. Washington is used to this dysfunction but Trump won’t toe that line.
Via DailyCaller: “If called upon by President-elect Donald Trump, they stand ready to serve their country again,” The Washington Post reports. “But their phones aren’t ringing. Their entreaties to Trump Tower in New York have mostly gone unanswered.”
122 of the top Republican national security advisors banded together during the election to put forward one particularly harsh letter against Trump. Part of the letter reads, “We commit ourselves to working energetically to prevent the election of someone so utterly unfitted to the office.” Among the notables on this list are Former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge and Former Director of the CIA & NSA Gen. Michael Hayden.
Via DailyCaller: Trump’s political advisers have put them on a blacklist, some of them told WaPo, maybe even an “enemies” list. “It’s hostile,” one person told WaPo on condition of anonymity. “It’s not just that we’re frozen out. … I was told they said there was an enemies list.”
Do you think these national security “experts” have any business in the Trump White House or is it the right thing to do to shut them out? Comment below.
