Trump’s About To Name His Supreme Court Nominee, And The Leading Candidate Is AMAZING!

President Trump tweeted on Wednesday that he would be making the announcement of his nominations for the Supreme Court on Thursday of next week.

Until Thursday we can only speculate but the top contenders seem to be Judge William Pryor in Alabama, Judge Neil Gorsuch in Colorado and Judge Thomas Hardiman in Pennsylvania.

William Pryor of Alabama’s 11th Circuit is 54 and the former Alabama attorney general.  Pryor is controversial because he has expressed loud criticism of the Supreme Court’s 1973 decision in Roe v. Wade which legalized abortion but he has also taken flak from conservatives concerning a ruling that he joined in favor of transgender rights.

Neil Gorsuch of Colorado is currently on the 10th Circuit. He is the youngest contender at 49 but Gorsuch is the most logical replacement for the late Justice Antonin Scalia. He is a strict adherent of originalism, which is the belief that the Constitution should be interpreted based on the intent of the Founders.  Gorsuch has excellent academic credentials including time spent at Columbia, Harvard Law and Oxford. He also clerked for Justices Byron White and Anthony Kennedy and practiced law in Washington.

Thomas Hardiman of Pennsylvania’s 3rd Circuit is 51 and familiar with another member of the Trump family. He sits on the same U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit as the president’s sister, Maryanne Trump Barry.  Hardiman’s career has maintained a very conservative record on issues involving guns, searches, police officers and prison guards.

Good luck to all of these brilliantly qualified candidates!
