Police in Cape Cod have made 3 arrests in conjunction with a drug bust that took place at a home owned by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver family in Hyannisport, M.A. Local police seized $40,000 worth of fentanyl from the home and surrounding grounds.
Suspects Troy Monteiro, 29, Trevor Rose, 29 and Ariel Price-Perry gained access to the home with the help of the property manager, and without the knowledge or permission of the Shriver family. These 3 were taken into custody by police and held on $100,000 bail.
Authorities also obtained a warrant for the apartment that Monteiro and Price-Perry shared in New Bedford and found additional fentanyl there, along with $20,000 in cash.
Via Daily News Monteiro attempted to flee the scene to retrieve 200 grams of fentanyl, reportedly valued at $40,000.He was charged with two counts of trafficking and conspiracy to violate a controlled substance.
Perry was also charged with conspiracy to violate a controlled substance and with impeding a police investigation after she allegedly tried to destroy evidence during her boyfriend’s arrest.
Mrs. Shriver is the sister of the late Senator Ted Kennedy and former President John F. Kennedy. She has five children with her husband, the late Sargent Shriver, who served as an ambassador to France from 1968 through 1970 under the Nixon administration.
